Thank you for giving me such a wonderful time at my first Black BEAT
event. I am pretty sure this will not be my last event. Each and every
person that I met was very friendly and welcomed me with opened arms. I
wish you all well and hopefully I will see you all again at a munch or
two before the next event.

Once again, BB lived up to -hell beyond- my expectations, I got to
experience a couple new things, chill with friends, have a lot of
laughs, learn some stuff, danced, ate, imbibed, and meet some new
people who I can't wait to see again.

Hi everyone ,
Me and my Boi made it home in one piece Sunday night. Monday all we did was sit on the couch in a daze. No unpacking, no dishes, no nothing. We barely managed to order takeout. My daughter came home early from work, greeted us, and I think all we could manage was a collective grunt. Tuesday each of us was thrown back into the cold, cruel work world. Yesterday I was swimming in a sea of vanilla because I got called for jury duty (didn't get picked this time!).
Huge shout-outs to Lady Z, Diamond, and BG Treasure--this wouldn't be possible without all your hard work, love, and support. I can't ask for anything else except where did the time go and can I have some MORE????
P.S.: We got to witness the women's double chair-tying event as well as the mixed freestyle wrestling extravaganza. Can these be considered Olympic sports?

I'm always a little afraid before I head to Black BEAT. Are folks
gonna like me? Am I going to be by myself the whole weekend? Will I
have to sit by myself for the luncheon and dinner? Will I find
somebody to play with at the dungeon? And then I get there. And
then the most important question I seem to ask is "Do I look
alright?" (thank you sooo much juicy for listening to me repeat
myself!). All the other questions just seem to fade away. I see old
friends and share hugs, I see new faces and introduce myself and
share hugs, I smile and they smile back.
I smile... and they smile back.
That right there filled my heart the entire weekend. More than any
of y'all know. I owe a thank you to each and every one of you
who shared a smile with me. Please don't ask me to remember
names 'cause it just ain't happening. There are folks who were at
BB03 who I am just now remembering their names! But I appreciate
the smiles we shared.
A few folks have said that there was a different vibe this year - and
I would agree. People were there to have fun. Comfortable in their
own skin and intent on being their own authentic selves. No putting
on airs, no jostling to be out in front. And folks had fun. And
maybe - this was a good year for folks. I saw a lot of new
relationships and new additions to the family (vanilla and bdsm-
wise). We had marriages and births of babies and new collars and
just a whole lot of newness! I saw smiles on people's faces who
didn't seem quite so happy last year. I know it's been a good year
for me. I came to Black BEAT with a much more positive and confident
headspace than I have in the past. And it worked for me. 'Cause I
was loved from the git go. Not that I've not been in the past - I'm
just able to more fully appreciate it now.
Bits and pieces:
* Interrogation: I discovered a new kink to explore - Master Rorie and slave suzanne's Interrogation class was awesome! I've been wanting to do a scene where I get to fight back physically and verbally - and now I have a name for it!
* Nekkid Wrestling: I hate watching wrestling, but I think I've changed my mind and it will never, ever look the same to me. Goodness goodness goodness. Let me take a breath here. And who'd a thunk that I'd find myself watching nekkid wrestling while I
was being spanked/cropped? Best of both worlds I tell ya.
* The Ladies: Y'all looked out for me, were worried about me finding somebody to play with... you made me smile. Thank you.
* Sir Malik - thank you. Cathy - it's an honor to meet you. We have many more conversations ahead of us.
* Hogtieing: That was awesome! And I know that one of y'all got a pinch in there somewhere dammit! lol
* OTK: All I can say is DAYUM! And thank you. Did I say thank you?
* And how in the hell do some of y'all stay up past 5am?????? And STILL wake up for classes and breakfast???? I need to know the tips before next year 'cause I failed miserably this year!
Dolphin, Joanna, Ty... I'm a blessed woman. Ms. Max - the hostest with the mostest - the After Party was theperfect way to wind the weekend down. From sitting on the front porch, to chit chatting in the kitchen, to sitting in the back yard -it truly felt like a family reunion. I know you said that the house thanks us, but ma'am... I thank the house. And you, for making the house available to us.
Dia, Lady Z, bg... we say it every year and it just doesn't seem like enough. Thank you for making it happening. For continuing to drive it. Thank you. And bg... you still owe me a hug. Don't think I forgot!

Ok I have put it off long enough. First I have to thank everyone for making me feel so welcomed at my first Black Beat. And a special thank you to Bg, Lady Z, and Diamond. I said I am too long winded to make it a short email. I have been trying for at least the last two years to make it and last year I was closer than ever. But life happened and I didn't make it. So I have to give a very special thanks to Cyber Diva because without her coaxing/nagging/encouragement (lol) and I would not have made my way to Maryland last weekend.
I got to see old friends and make new ones. Ones that I hope will last a lifetime. I have dreaded this email because I did not want to leave anyone out. So many people made this Black Beat what it was for me. It is difficult at times to express what it is like to be with so many O'Kinks. I truly did not realize how different it was to live among the Vanillas (lol) until I left the O'Kinks and the ass wholery started.
Tweety I am honored to have made the angels list. Sun of Shaft it was wonderful meeting and spending time with you too. Sasi, Des, and Diva...I'll bring the bottle next year. Mr C and Lexi thanks for the road trip and a very special thanks to Mr C for helping me scratch that silly "no electricity" off my list. Vyxen and Kitten as usual you two are both beautiful. The presentations I saw were all wonderful. Mistress Mir, Sir D, Obsidian, the list is endless. Scourge and coffee and it was wonderful finally meeting you and thanks for Kinky.
I do wish I could have stayed on Sunday for the after glow party and/or stayed up Saturday night for the parties after the dungeon. I am still beating myself for missing the strap on party. I enjoyed breakfast , lunch and Dinner with my O'Kink family.
If I had to pick one event out of all the events that I had the pleasure of experiencing it would be Mr Choclet's wand party. I had always placed electric play on my no no list. By the end of the night I was on fire...literally. I look forward to seeing you all next year.
